Celebrations are useful as they give people a reason to enjoy themselves. They are safe events and everyone can join in. They exist to keep the community and family spirit alive. Young people can learn something about their local history and tradition. They involve members of the community and family in doing something together which helps develop a spirit of respect, love, caring, and sharing.
