TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

On Monday 30.04.2018 the 9^th grade students planted some plum saplings in the school garden with the guidance and assistance of their teachers. The students were very motivated and interested in planting trees and watering them. The students stated that it was the first time to plant trees for some of the students, so they were so excited and happy. The students’ awareness towards their environment and the nature increased.  They carried some water to give to the trees and they wanted to take care of the trees’ growing.  They felt that they were doing a very important activity which had a permanent effect not only for themselves but also for the environment and nature. They stated that they would like to plant more trees to the school garden as well to the other places. Through this activity, the students gained experience and knowledge about how a tree is planted and how much time and effort it takes for a tree to grow up. So, they have become more conscious about not only planting trees but also protecting the trees.
