EU ERASMUS + MISSION POSSIBLE HEALTH PROJECT SCHOOL ACTIVITY |
Our sixth traditional Orange festival which aims at students’ having healthy eating habits was organised by our school’s 10th grade students in 12th December. This year we organized this festival as a part of “Mission Possibe Health”Erasmus + Project, we plan to conduct this festival as a Project activity next year too.
Based on the cooperation between National Education Ministry and Health Ministry depending on the criteria of the “Nutrition Friendy Schools ?nitiative’ of World Health Organization, it is aimed to increase the awareness for healthy eating habits, and active life and to increase the level of the school health by supporting good practice in this field.
The purpose of this project is to promote healhty eating habits through staying away from fast food, instant food and all types of unhealthy food and having an awareness about the harms of these instant food as well as to promote healthier food and drinks such as eating fruits and drinking hand made juice. I
Sport games (getting ping-pong ball from the glass, eating orange, carrying egg, popping the balloons, dropping the pen into the bottle, rope pulling competitions) and traditional dances were performed with two music groups of students from music club of our school to promote students’ having active and sportive life. Tennis courts, footbal field, volleyball field, basketball field, fitness equipments, table-tennis tables, billards table and open-air sport saloon of our schoolp provide facilities to our students for an active life. Our goal is to guide and enable our students to gain the habit of doing physical exercise by using the school facibilities and to have an healthy life.
